The Yoga Sutra of Patanjali is a classic Sanskrit text written by Sage Patanjali. Written about 5000 years ago, the Yoga Sutra is deceptively concise: contain four books, which explore the subjects of samadhi (super conscious experience), sadhana (spiritual practice), vibhuti (benefits and yogic powers), and kaivalya (supreme liberation). Kriya Yoga is the only yoga mentioned in Patanjali’s Yoga Sutras. This is the same yoga described in the highly acclaimed international bestseller Autobiography of a Yogi, written by Paramahamsa Yogananda.
Loving and Divine Soul,
Let the choicest blessings of God and the masters be upon you all. I take the opportunity to pray for you as we celebrate the 108th birth anniversary of our beloved Gurudev. While I think about writing you on this occasion, thoughts of Gurudev are vibrant in my mind. His love and compassion, his teachings and guidance flash through my mind.
Loving and Divine Soul,
Let the choicest blessings of God and the masters be upon all of you. I take the opportunity to pray for all, especially the mothers as we celebrate Mother's Day.
Loving and Divine Soul,
Let the choicest blessings of God, Moses, Jesus, and the masters be upon all of us on the occasion of Passover and Easter. I take this opportunity to pray with you for ourselves, for humanity, and for all creation.
Do not differentiate between seva and sadhana. Each compliments the other. On daily sahana, there should be no compromise but the rest of the time serve with love. A sevaka is also a sadhaka.
